Depp's early life, was as a rebel, and he took to vandalism and narcotics. He dropped out of school when he was 15, and he fronted a series of music-garage bands. However, it was when he married Lori Anne Allison (Lori A. Depp) that he took up the job of being salesman to support himself and his wife. When he met up with actor Nicolas Cage, advised him to turn to acting. Three years later, Depp achieved fame as police cop Tom Hanson in the series "21 Jump Street" (1987) (1987-90), and in 1990, became as a leading Hollywood actor with the Tim Burton movie Edward Scissorhands (1990).
From then on, Depp was selective of his choice of roles in movies.
But Depp wasn't very famous until his portrayal the Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003). It has even included an Oscar nomination.
Now he's working in a new Tim Burton's film: Alice in Wonderland. It comes to Spain the 16/04/2010. It's abaut a girl who returns to the magical world from her other adventure, where she meets with her old friends and learns of her true destiny: to beat the Red Queen.
