Celtic Music
The Celtic came from East fife thousand years ago. They settled from the British Isles to the Iberian Peninsula. Por much time, they settled here and we learned their music and culture, they believed in fairies and that the sea was magic. Then the roman came and they conquered Europe and the Celtic hid in Ireland.
In each country, Celtic music is different. But in general, it’s a fast and lively dance. That’s a very free dance: it have a changeable and marked rhythm.
The most important instruments are:
- Violin
- Harp
- Bagpipe
- Bodhran (it's very big)
Flageolet- Boizuki (small lute)
In Man’s Island, Scotland, Ireland, Cornualles, Asturias, Galicia and France, Celtic music is traditional now.
The modern Celtic music started with the Pogues, who mixed funk and celtic music. Now, there are many celtic groups,for example: Clannad, Enya or El Mago de Oz, a spanish group who mix gotic and celtic music.
